Charlotte Radiology opened a breast / vein and vascular center in the SouthPark area of Charlotte, North Carolina. To announce the new location and invite referring physicians to the grand opening event, we created a detective theme complete with costumes, secret codes and hidden websites. Each invitation was hand-delivered to referring physicians’ offices by a representative of Charlotte Radiology, dressed in traditional detective garb: trench coats, big hats and sunglasses. Inside the invitation, the referring physician found a letter inviting him or her to the event and a card with instructions to RSVP through a hidden section of the Charlotte Radiology website. When the guest entered his or her information on the webpage, it was collected into a database for future use by Charlotte Radiology. The event was a success, drawing twice the attendance of past openings.
